is Learning Arabic by teaching it

Word of the day: دَرْسْ (dars, lesson)

Staying with the theme of the classroom, and the د ر س root, today’s word is دَرْسْ (dars, lesson)

Plural: دُروس (duruus)

An open question for me: I’ve been tought that two silent consonants in a row are not allowed in literary Arabic – what is the literary pronunciation of this word?
