Word of the day: مدرّس (mudarris, teacher)

مدرّس (mudarris) means teacher. Notice the د ر س root, like in the word دَرَسَ (darasa, to study). (In fact, I think the real root is similar to the one from “to teach” – I’ll look into the details of that later).
The plural is مدرّسون (mudarrisuun).
