Word of the day: أستاذ (‘ustaadh, professor)

أستاذ (‘ustaadh) means professor. It can also mean ‘sir’.

Plural is أساتذة (‘usaatidha). Note the ة (taa marbuuta) that normally indicates feminine words is used here at the end of the word. I’ve been told there’s maybe one more word where this is the case (but not which word).
